Yaya Toure made a surprise appearance in the Sky Sports studio following Arsenal's Premier League clash against Chelsea.

On Sunday evening, Mikel Arteta's men had the chance to move five points clear of Manchester City with a win against Liam Rosenior's side.

Arsenal made it 1-0 in the 21st minute thanks to William Saliba's header before Piero Hincapie's own goal drew the visitors level.

In the second half, the Gunners went 2-1 up after Jurrien Timber bundled in Declan Rice's corner.

As a result, Arsenal are now five points clear at the top of the Premier League table, but have played one more match than City.

After the match at the Emirates, former City star Toure made a surprise appearance in the Sky Sports studio as he sat between Daniel Sturridge and Patrick Vieira.

Assessing the match, Toure admitted he was disappointed with the quality on show at the Emirates.

Toure said: "First half was okay, was quite okay. I feel a bit disappointed because we want to see a flourishing game.

"Passing, attacking and scoring chance. Three goals from set-pieces, a bit strange for a derby!"

He continued: "A really important win for Arsenal but as a fan, I want to see more."

Speaking after the match, Arteta spoke about the importance of being good at set-pieces.

The Spaniard said: "Very important, Chelsea are the second best with one less goal, look at the talent they have. We have lost points to long throws, lately we haven't scored from many set-pieces. Today we did it, to have these options is great.

"They can be a nightmare to defend against. On tactics boards we can resolve any situation, but when it's live and they are so aggressive, pushy, effective, difficult to handle, it's very tough."

Arsenal are back in Premier League action on Wednesday night when they take on Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX.
