Wrexham have been tipped to smash their transfer record yet again and splash out £1 million on a striker in the Premier League.
The Red Dragons have not been afraid to big fees and wages ever since Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney bought the club back in 2021.
Manager Phil Parkinson has led the club to back-to-back promotions from the National League and they are now flying in League One, occupying third spot with 28 points after 14 games played.

In the summer Wrexham forked out a reported £500,000 on midfielder Ollie Rathbone from Rotherham United in a deal the club confirmed was a record.
However, they then moved to snap up Mo Faal from West Brom on 30 August, handing him a three-year deal. The fee was not undisclosed at the time but Wrexham winger James McClean claimed the club paid £590,000 to secure his services.
As Wrexham continue to progress they are likely to come close to paying seven-figures for a new signing and new investment from the Allyn family of Skaneateles has only fueled talk of that happening.

And former manager Dean Saunders has revealed he sees a situation where they fork out £1 million on a prospect from Arsenal or Liverpool in the near future.
"It sounds easy – you’ve got a million quid, let’s get a million-pound striker," the Liverpool striker told Goal.
"But what striker worth a million quid wants to play lower down the leagues? If you are worth a million quid in the market, you can play for a lot of big clubs in a big league. It’s hard to persuade players to come down.
"Say it’s a striker, he knows that if he doesn’t score at that level, he could end up losing all of the stature he has got to. You try to keep playing – I know I did – at the highest level you can because you are playing with better players and you get better service. I’m sure it’s coming."

"It’s a matter of time before they go ‘right, come on, how much is it going to take to get him out of there?’ They might get someone out of Arsenal’s U21 team, or Liverpool’s U21 team. How much is it going to cost to buy him? But it’s coming."
After three games without a win, Wrexham returned to winning ways against Mansfield on Saturday and are back in action against Port Vale in the Football League trophy on Tuesday evening.
