A Who Wants To Be A Millionaire contestant was forced to use two of his lifelines on a Premier League question.

Popular quiz show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is presented by Jeremy Clarkson, with contestants looking to win £1 million by asking a series of questions.

During the show, the questions get considerably harder the closer the contestant gets towards the million-pound mark.

In one episode, a contestant decided to use two of his lifelines after getting stuck on a question related to the Premier League.

The question was: "Which of these football clubs did not win the Premier League in the 2010s?"

The options available to the player were: A - Manchester United, B - Arsenal, C - Chelsea and D - Manchester City.

After the contestant decided to ask Clarkson, the former Top Gear and The Grand Tour host said: "Okay, here is what I think. Well, we know City have won it four times which means they must have won it in the 2010s. We (Chelsea) won it. United must have won it. Did Arsenal? I'm working it out but my dates are so muddled in my head these days.

"Based on nothing but the wind, Arsenal in my final answer."

Clearly not convinced by Clarkson's help, the contestant decided to ask the audience also.

The audience made their feelings clear, with 45% picking Arsenal, 23% chose United, 19% went for Chelsea, and the remaining 13% opted for City.

In the end, the contestant locked in Arsenal as his final answer and ended up getting the question correct.

Arsenal last won the Premier League back in 2004, when they went an entire season unbeaten.

However, the Gunners are well on their way to winning the title this season as they currently hold a four-point lead over City and Aston Villa at the top of the table.
