An offside incident in Venezuela is going viral and has left fans in complete and utter hysterics.
On Monday night, in the Venezuelan Primera Division, Puerto Cabello hosted Portuguesa at Complejo Deportivo Socialista.
The game finished 0-0 and you could be forgiven for thinking it was an uneventful affair.

However, that was absolutely not the case. In the 86th minute, a truly bizarre offside situation took place that is a serious head-scratcher.
The hosts had the ball in the net when a cross from the left was converted by striker Darlon Rodriguez at the near the post.
The linesman flagged for offside in what was a fairly routine call but that's not the madness ensued.

VAR is in use in the Venezuelan top flight and on the TV broadcast, lines were drawn as we see in the Premier League.
The lines have been deemed contentious for how accurate they are but on this occasion, they could not have been more crooked.
It was not straight in the slightest - looking a meme line someone would create on X to jokingly claim a player was onside.
Without the lines you could see that he could gone early, but Manuel Todea from El Meridiano claims it was not confirmed whether the line used to verify the decision was official or from the broadcast.

Fans erupted with reaction online, with many in utter disbelief at the dodgy lines.
One wrote: "He was offside in the fourth dimension
Another said: "I need this in the Premier League, even though we will get screwed by it. What a line. Ball could've gone to someones flat and be headed in and it would've counted as a goal.
A third added: "Would love to see this in the Premier League just for the absurdity of it and the chaos and outrage it would cause."

A fourth commented: "God I love South American football."
A final user weighed in: "This is genuinely hilarious."
