Spurs have provided an update on the condition of Rodrigo Bentancur after he suffered a worrying injury against Liverpool.
The midfielder was stretchered off in the Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night as he attempted a diving header from a corner kick.
Pedro Pedro immediately alerted the referee and signalled for medics to enter the pitch. Bentancur required extensive treatment on the pitch before being taken down the tunnel, with a lengthy 10-minute delay leading to an increased amount of stoppage time.

Sky Sports cameras cut away from the incident and Bentancur was replaced by Brennan Johnson.
The broadcaster then released an update at half-time, with Mark Chapman telling viewers: "The latest we have on Bentancur after that awful looking injury in the first half is that when he was stretchered off the doctors accompanied him to the dressing room and he is still in there with the doctors. That is the only update that we have.”
Shortly after, Spurs released a positive update on the Uruguayan, who is conscious and communicating.
On X, the club said: "We can confirm Rodrigo is conscious, talking and will go to hospital for further checks."

Bentancur made only just returned to action after serving a seven-match ban given to him back in November for using a racial slur about Spurs captain Heung-Min Son on Argentine television station Canal 10.
Roughly translated, the former Juventus man had said "they all look more or less the same" referring to Son and his cousins.
Bentancur posted an apology on his Instagram page and also apologised to Son in person.

As it stands there is still no word on the nature of Bentancur's injury and official updates will be provided by the club's official channels.
Asked about the injury in his press conference, Postecoglou said: "I don't want to speculate. It was some sort of head injury. It was bad enough for his team-mates to worry about him."
Bentancur signed for Spurs in January 2022 for a fee which could rise to £21.5 million if add-ons are met. He joined at the same time as Dejan Kulusevski and has gone on to make 86 appearances, scoring nine goals.
