Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos was blown away by Jamal Musiala during Germany and it is clear to see why.

Kroos, 34, is one of the most experienced midfielders across world football.

With over 100 international appearances to his name, including the 2014 World Cup win in Brazil, he has seen in it all in a Germany shirt.

At least he thought he had until he witnessed the talents of 21-year-old Bayern Munich playmaker Jamal Musiala during training.

Musiala made his debut for the German national team back in 2021 under former boss Joachim Low and has since gone from strength to strength in the professional game.

With 12 goals and 10 assists to his name for Bayern on the way to the Bundesliga title last season, as well as ten goals and five assists in the current campaign already, it is clear to see that Musiala is fast becoming one of the best players in the world.

Which explains why Kroos was so blown away while having one of the best seats in the house to witness Musiala at work.

During the short clip of the young midfielder in training, he can be seen skipping away from players such as Kroos and Bayer Leverkusen's Florian Wirtz.

Speaking on the talents of Musiala and other younger players like Wirtz, Kroos said: "I don’t watch a lot of the Bundesliga, I watch more of the Champions League.

"I watched Jamal there. Even if I had never seen him before, this morning's training session would have been enough for me.

"It's about them having freedom to be able to play their football. I see my job in that too.

"These exceptional players are meant to bring fun to the game. We have to put them in positions on the pitch in which they can bring us joy. That's also a task for me."
