Timo Werner forgot Spurs' pre-match tradition ahead of his debut for the club against Manchester United on Sunday.
The former Chelsea forward has returned to the Premier League on an initial loan, though Spurs have the option to buy him permanently for £15.5 million.
He made his first appearance in the 2-2 draw against United, registering an assist when he set up Rodrigo Bentancur's equaliser.
Werner showed promise but in all truth he didn't get off to the best start at Old Trafford.

Before every game, Spurs players take part in a mandatory pre-match huddle. It was introduced by new boss Ange Postecoglou after he replaced Antonio Conte and acts as a symbol of togetherness and unity.
Earlier this season, captain Heung-Min Son took the huddle in front of Spurs fans to make them feel more involved.
On Sunday, prior to kick-off, Spurs players applauded the travelling supporters in the corner.

Werner then darted off to his position down the left flank, unaware of his new team's routine before games get underway.
He had to be called over by Cristian Romero and Richarlison, scurrying over as the final man to join the huddle.
You can't blame Werner too much as it was his first game and it may not have even been mentioned to him beforehand.

But after a second spell back at RB Leipzig came to an end, the 27-year-old is already very much enjoying his time at Spurs.
“First of all, I’m very happy to be back,” Werner told Sky Sports.
“It’s a lot of fun to play here. You see today it’s the best league with the tempo and the game. I enjoyed it very much.

“One point but in the next few days I can train more with the guys and it can go better.”
Spurs can now enjoy a winter break as their next fixture is the huge FA Cup fourth round clash against holders Manchester City.
