Every member of Spain's 26-man squad will receive huge bonus if they beat England in Euro 2024 final

Every member of Spain's 26-man squad will receive huge bonus if they beat England in Euro 2024 final

Spain are unbeaten at Euro 2024 after wins over Croatia, Italy, Albania, Georgia, Germany and France.

Every member of the 26-man Spain squad will reportedly receive a hefty bonus if they beat England in Sunday's Euro 2024 final.

Luis de la Fuente's side are in scintillating form as they prepare to face an England side that have yet to reach peak performance levels at this summer's tournament.

Spain have recorded convincing wins over Croatia, Italy and Albania in Group B before seeing off Georgia, Germany and France in the latter stages.

But can they beat Gareth Southgate's men? There's plenty at stake for La Roja, including a massive pot of cash if they manage to secure a record fourth Euros title.

Ahead of the tournament's opener, UEFA confirmed that the winners of Euro 2024 would receive a maximum bonus of €28.25 million [£24.2m].

The pre-tournament agreement also indicated that 30 per cent of the above sum would go to the 26-man squad, regardless of the final result.

In fact, the percentage will be increases to 40 per cent if the title is secured, according to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo.

So that means a total of €11.3 million [£9.7m] will be awarded to the Spain squad if they beat England, which is the equivalent of around €400,000 [£336,000] each.

A portion of the percentage will also go to Luis de la Fuente and his coaching staff.

So what about England? According to the Daily Telegraph, most of the players have no idea how much money would be coming their way because it's such a 'low priority' for them.

That being said, if they do win the tournament, England's players will also be in line for a bonus pot worth up to £10 million, which would be shared throughout the squad.

Three Lions boss Gareth Southgate wants to lead his team to victory in a bid to bring "temporary happiness" to an "angry country".

Speaking ahead of the game, he said: "I want to win so much on Sunday it hurts, don't get me wrong, but I can handle whatever comes and I know it's not going to change what the dog thinks when I walk back through the door."
