Sergio Aguero will reportedly start training with his former team ahead of a potential return to football.
Back in 2021, shortly after leaving Manchester City for Barcelona, Aguero announced his retirement from professional football.
Aguero was taken to hospital after suffering from chest pains during Barcelona’s 1-1 against Deportivo de Alaves.
The Argentine was later advised by doctors to step away from the sport after he was diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia.

During a recent live stream on Twitch, Aguero called his cardiologist to ask whether he could return to football.
After being told he can play for a short period of time, Aguero was asked if he would return to former side Independiente, managed by Carlos Tevez.
He said: “If Carlitos [Tevez, Independiente manager] calls me, what do you expect me to do?”
Now, according to DSports Radio, via Transfer Sector, who wrote: “Sérgio Aguero is going to return to football training with Carlos Tevez' Independiente, where they will evaluate if he can play professionally again!”

Aguero’s cardiologist said: “You won't have any problems playing for that long. Logically, we have to do the studies, which already correspond, and make you run as if it were a game... When you approach the two centre-backs, if you have to do a trick, something like that, you have to be well prepared.
“So I would tell you to, 'get ready, there is hope' you could say. You have to get well, in a physical state for a few minutes [of action]. In short, it is possible.”
Back in 2021, an emotional Aguero said: “My health comes first. Medical staff have told me it’s best to stop playing and so I’m now leaving Barcelona and retiring from professional football”
