Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have got plenty of decisions right since acquiring Wrexham in 2021 and overseeing back-to-back promotions under the management of Phil Parkinson.
Wrexham are now flying in League One, sitting in second - level on points with league leaders Wycombe Wanderers having played a game more. The Red Dragons have won 12 of their 19 games, drawing four and losing just three times.
But while things have been going swimmingly for the Welsh outfit this season, some feel as though they may have made a mistake in the summer.

A total of 13 players left Wrexham following their promotion to the third tier, including loans and free transfers. One name to move on, on a temporary basis, was striker Sam Dalby, who joined Dundee United on loan.
Dalby joined from Southend in August 2022 when Wrexham were in the National League and scored 13 goals for the club. But it was decided that he spend the current campaign on loan in Scotland in order to get much-needed gametime.
And the 25-year-old has been in fine form for Dundee, scoring six goals in 12 appearances in the SPFL. He won the league's Player of the Month for November after cementing his place in the side.

His goalscoring heroics are perhaps a slight surprise given he found the net just once in Wrexham colours in League Two last term. And despite their excellent season, Wrexham haven't been blessed with goals from their attackers.
Paul Mullin and Steven Fletcher only have a goal each, Ollie Palmer has notched three and Jack Marriott is top scorer with five. Dalby's contract is due to expire in the summer and Dundee have made it clear that they want to keep him at Tannadice Park longer than this season.
"We want to be at the table when those conversations need to take place," manager Jim Goodwin told BBC after the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock on Saturday.

“Right now we're not wanting any distractions. Sam and his representatives know where we are and they know that we would love the big fellow to stay longer term."
Commenting on his experience at the club, Dalby said: “I'm playing, I'm happy and we're playing really well as a team. All the staff, the lads and the fans are great so I'm happy to be here."
