Roy Keane was almost reduced to tears as he reflected on an emotional photo on the latest episode of Stick to Football.

Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Ian Wright, Jill Scott and Keane took part in a special episode of Stick to Football - brought to you by Sky Bet.

Each pundit arrived with a personal football memorabilia or item that means the most to them in a special Show & Tell episode.

Carragher showed off a signed Franco Baresi AC Milan shirt, Wright paraded his helmet for his bike and Scott flaunted a framed letter from Prince William.

As for Keane, he brought a few Nottingham Forest jerseys, including a cup final shirt, having made his name at the City Ground before securing a transfer to Manchester United.

He also brought several photos, including a photo of his parents at Wembley Stadium.

"The ups and downs of football. When you see your family after Wembley, you won a big game... honestly," he said about the photo of his mother and father, before welling up.

Neville commented on the photo and glanced at Keane, who cut a hugely emotional figure.

Wright added: "It's a good one... this is a beautiful picture."

It's a rare sight seeing the ex-Ireland skipper emotional and nearly in tears, but memories clearly flooded back from the photo.

Keane's father, Maurice 'Mossie' Keane, died in 2019, aged 79.

He suffered a stroke before passing away in the Heather Care Home on the grounds of the Cork Orthopaedic Hospital.

The Man United legend carried his father's coffin in an emotional funeral in Cork, Ireland.

Unlike his son, Maurice did not have a footballing background - although he was fond of the sport.

He was present at all of Keane's major sporting moments over the years.

During his working life, he accepted work in a series of different jobs, including one at a local knitwear company in Cork and another at Murphy's Irish Stout brewery.

Paul Murphy, Maurice's nephew, said that his uncle was known for his infectious smile.
