Ronaldinho's son could be denied a move due to a little-known transfer rule.
Last week, rumours circulated suggesting the legendary Brazilian's son Joao Mendes was set to sign for Burnley.
The 19-year-old spent time at his father's old club Barcelona but has reportedly penned a two-year contract with the Clarets.
There has been no official confirmation, though manager Scott Parker did say "there is definitely something in it" and acknowledged that Mendes is seen "as a development player".

Mendes is already been touted for an immediate loan move away from Turf Moor but there could be complications.
According to Alan Nixon from The Sun, Burnley are exploring the idea of sending Mendes to SPFL side Dundee.
Burnley announced a strategic partnership with the Scottish side back in January, with players to be loaned out as part of the arrangement.

Dara Costelloe, Marcel Lewis, Owen Dodgson and Michael Mellon all played for Dundee last season as a result.
Mendes could be the next player yet there is a possible roadblock.
FIFA rules stipulate that clubs can have a maximum of six international loans each season.

They currently have five remaining, with winger Darko Churlinov sent on loan to Polish outfit Jagiellonia.
However the problem Burnley have is that a loan to the SPFL is classed as an international move despite Scotland being in the United Kingdom.
The Lancashire outfit are therefore weighing up to see if any other players will be going on loan to European teams before they commit to a temporary switch for Mendes and several other prospects.
Mendes turned out for Flamengo, Vasco da Gama, Boavista-RJ and Cruzeiro in Brazil before following in his dad's footsteps and signing for Barcelona in March 2023 following a successful trial.

He played with the Under 19 side but left after his short-term deal expired.
