Rio Ferdinand directed an on-air rant directed at a TNT Sports viewer ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League coverage.
Ahead of a second-leg Champions League encounter between Atletico Madrid and Inter at the Wanda Metropolitano, Laura Woods, Joe Cole and Ferdinand read out bold opinions from TNT Sports’ viewers.
As the segment neared its end, Woods said: "Anyway... I've got one more for you! A one-match ban for missing a penalty, which I thought was very harsh, but it kind of made me laugh a little bit."

The post read: "Players should get a one-match ban for missing the target on a penalty. Honourable mention: clubs should fine players a week's wages for hitting the first man with a corner."
And Ferdinand did not take too kindly to the light-hearted suggestion to ban players for missing a spot-kick.
"Players should get a one-match ban for missing the target... that's just stupid," Ferdinand said.

"You get someone who has never, ever played football at any level playing with two fans watching and his dog. As soon as people are watching, everything changes."
Cole agreed with Ferdinand’s comments while Woods laughed off the former Manchester United defender's response before continuing the coverage.
Inter head into the Champions League second leg with a slim aggregate lead courtesy of a late Marko Arnautovic goal.
Last year's finalists sit some 16 points clear at the summit of the Serie A table, while they will be strong contenders for this season's European crown.

While Inter have won 13 straight matches across all competitions, however, Atleti sit fourth in the La Liga table having lost five of their last eight.
