Barcelona will have the chance to close the gap to the top two on Sunday night when they take on Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
Speaking after the match, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti said: "The second half went well, the team is disappointed because they believe they deserved to win. We were close.
"But we must be happy, we are still leaders after an intense week and now we have a calmer week until Tuesday [against Manchester City]."
