Real Madrid's last January signing has not even played for the club four years on from signing.
Los Blancos typically do their business in the summer and have made a number of big-money signings.
Their last January addition was Brazilian youngster Reinier, who signed for €30 million from Flamengo in 2020.
Real have done plenty of shopping in Brazil in recent times, drafting in Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo Goes and Endrick.

But the signing of Reiner has not been a successful one. The 21-year-old has featured for the club's Castilla side but is still searching for a first-team appearance.
Instead, he's on his third loan away from the Santiago Bernabeu. He played 39 times for Borussia Dortmund, winning the DFB Pokal - before spending last season on loan at Girona.
He's currently plying his trade with newly promoted Frosinone in Serie A, where he's played seven times so far.

Reinier has scored once and assisted twice for the team, who are in 14th place after 18 games.
His contract with Real is due to expire in June 2026 but Reinier is still hopeful of pulling on the iconic white shirt in the feature.
“My father told me that the Italian league would be the right one for me and for my football," he told AS via Gianluca Di Marzio in November, as per Football Italia.

In my head there is still the dream of returning to play for Real.
“I feel very comfortable here. Di Francesco has supported me and helped me since the first training session.
“He asks me to play without pressure and with a smile on my face, on the pitch I always know what I have to do. He asks to play the ball and always press the opponents. I’m improving and studying Italian.”
The year before Reinier, Real signed Brahim Diaz for €17 million and he is now a first-team regular following an impressive spell at AC Milan.
