New report reveals the real reason Phil Foden has flown home from England's Euro 2024 camp

New report reveals the real reason Phil Foden has flown home from England's Euro 2024 camp

More information on Phil Foden leaving the England camp has emerged.

The real reason why Phil Foden has 'temporarily left' England's Euro 2024 camp has been revealed.

Foden started England's goalless draw against Slovenia on Tuesday.

The Three Lions topped Group C, with five points to their name ahead of Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia.

A day after their clash in Cologne, an FA spokesperson confirmed that Foden has flown back to England for a 'pressing family matter'.

According to BBC report Dan Roan, the Manchester City star has returned home from Germany to be present for the birth of his third child.

Foden is expected to be back with the squad by Sunday.

He's in a relationship with long-term partner Rebecca Cooke.

They have a son called Ronnie, aged 5, and a daughter named True, who is two-years-old.

Ronnie, who is named after the midfield's late granddad, was born on January 22, 2019, when Foden was 18 and Rebecca was 17.

Foden, 24, has started all three of England's group matches at the tournament so far.

Last season, he enjoyed the best goal-scoring campaign of his career, scoring an impressive 27 goals across all competitions.

England, meanwhile, resume their campaign on Sunday when they face an opponent to be determined in the last-16.
