Neymar couldn't understand the decision to take off Vinicius Junior.

Neymar's reaction to Vinicius Junior's substitution against Costa Rica sums up the current state of Brazilian football amid Ronaldinho's sensational claim.

Brazil kicked off their Copa America campaign with a drab goalless draw against Costa Rica.

Despite boasting attacking talent like Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Raphinha, Brazil just couldn't find the back of the net.

And their chances of scoring seemingly decreased when Vinicius Jr was replaced in the second-half.

Dorival Junior's decision to take off the Real Madrid superstar stunned Neymar, who was watching from the stands after being ruled out of the tournament through injury.

A video shows Neymar reacting to the substitution as he cut a shocked figure, appearing to be confused over the change.

Neymar's reaction comes after Ronaldinho launched an extraordinary rant claiming he won't be watching the national team at this summer's Copa America.

In a social media post, he wrote: "That's it folks, I've had enough.

"This is a sad moment for those who love Brazilian soccer. It's getting hard to find the spirit to watch the games. This is perhaps one of the worst teams in recent years, it has no respectable leaders, only average players for the majority.

"I've been following football since I was a kid, long before I thought about becoming a player, and I've never seen a situation as bad as this. Lack of love for the shirt, lack of grit and the most important of all: football.

"I'll repeat, our performance has been one of the worst things I've ever seen. Such a shame. I therefore declare my resignation. I will not watch any CONMEBOL Copa America game, nor celebrate any victory."

Brazil, who are also grouped with Paraguay and Colombia in Group D, resume their Copa America venture on Saturday.
