Jordan Pickford has been labelled cringe for his actions after Everton's win over Newcastle.

Everton climbed outside of the relegation zone after second half goals from Dwight McNeil, Abdoulaye Doucoure and Beto sealed all three points for Sean Dyche's side, who move on to 10 points.

Toffees fans were understandably delighted at full-time, having been dealt a 10-point deduction by the Premier League for Financial Fair Play breaches just last month, and the players couldn't help but join in with the jubilant celebrations.

Pickford was among those enjoying the victory at Goodison Park, but several Newcastle players rushed over to the England international after the whistle, visibly unhappy with something.

Joelinton had to be led away from the scene by security, while the Everton goalkeeper threw his gloves to the turf in anger before having to be held back by his team-mates.

It was an unsavoury end to an otherwise brilliant win for the Merseyside club, but Pickford got the last laugh before heading dow the tunnel.

The 29-year-old mimicked boxing right in front of the Newcastle supporters with a beaming smile on his face.

Everton subsequently posted the clip on social media, with rival fans labelling his behaviour "cringe".

Replying to the video, one person tweeted: "Holy cringe."

Another added: "Stop milking it."

While a third joked: "This guy know where he is in the table?"

However, several Evertonians were lapping up their keeper's post-match antics.

One person wrote: "As if this night could get any better!! We’re all bathing in Geordie tears tonight!"

Another chimed in: "That’s my keeper."
