The Netherlands have qualified for the last 16 of Euro 2024 after finishing third in Group D.
Heading into the final fixtures of the group, Ronald Koeman’s men were top of the table after winning against Poland and drawing against France.
Against Austria, the Dutch got off to a horrendous start as Donyell Malen scored an own goal in the sixth minute to give Ralf Rangnick's side a deserved 1-0 lead.

During the first half, Netherlands boss Koeman subbed off midfielder Joey Veerman with just 35 minutes on the clock, the PSV Eindhoven man was replaced by Xavi Simons.
In the second half, Liverpool star Cody Gakpo's fine finish made it 1-1 but Austria regained their lead in the 59th minute.
With 75 minutes on the clock, Memphis Depay delivered when his country needed him most to make it 2-2.

However, the drama did not stop there as Marcel Sabitzer's brilliant goal in the 80th minute made it 3-2.
As a result of their defeat by Austria and France's draw with Poland, the Netherlands advanced in third place.
Looking ahead to the round of 16, the Netherlands could be set for a blockbuster tie against England.

If Gareth Southgate’s men finish top of Group C, they will take on the best third-place team from Group D, E or F, which at the moment, will be the Netherlands.
Apart from the Three Lions, there is a possibility that the Netherlands could take on Spain or the winner of Group E, which is likely to be Belgium.
England take on Slovenia at 8pm on Tuesday night in Cologne whilst fellow Group C teams Denmark and Serbia face each other.
