Love Island host Maya Jama once stunned a football fan who was on holiday in Greece when she answered a video call from him after being given a fake phone number by a woman he had met.
Luke Worley was on holiday in Kos, Greece, when he and his mates got talking to a group of women back in 2021.
He asked one for their number so that they could all meet up again, and decided to call them the next day when England took on Germany in their Euro 2020 last 16 clash, which the Three Lions won.

What Luke did not realise at the time, however, was that his new acquaintance had given him a false number, meaning when he tried calling her, it did not quite go as planned.
Speaking back in 2021, Luke told LADbible: "The island was really quiet - there weren't many Brits there - but we'd seen these girls a couple of times just walking past, and then we saw them in this Stone Roses bar.
"We ended up talking to them for an hour or so, having a few drinks, getting a bit drunk and then I asked for her number.

"The next day England were playing Germany. We were in a bar and we were a bit drunk - we'd been drinking all day, as you can imagine - and we tried calling these girls to see where they are.
"I tried to ring a normal phone call at first through WhatsApp because I was connected to the WiFi in the bar.
"It said 'Connecting' and then it just didn't go through, it just crashed. So I thought I'd try a video call - it rang once, and Maya Jama answered."

A very surreal moment followed as Luke, from Essex, had a conversation with the now-host of Love Island and he admitted the TV star 'couldn't have been any better' about how the bizarre and random situation came about.
Luke added: "She was like, 'Who are you?'
"And I was like, 'Oh, I was calling for Sarah!'"
Jama told him her name, and he replied: "I know who you are!

"She was really nice about it, she couldn't have been any better.
"A lot of people in the public eye would have probably just put the phone down or something or blocked my number."
It just goes to show, you never know who is going to be on the end of a phone or video call.
