The international future of Mason Greenwood has taken a new twist, according to reports.
Greenwood made his sole England appearance as a substitute during a Nations League game against Iceland in October 2020.
However, along with Phil Foden, he was sent home after breaking Covid-19 protocols in the country.

While Foden did return to the international fold months later following the incident, Greenwood was not considered for future squads.
He has also not been considered since his January 2022 arrest, before he was subsequently charged with attempted rape, engaging in controlling and coercive behaviour and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Since those charges were discontinued by the CPS in February 2023, Greenwood has returned to football.

But England's stance on the forward, who spent last season on loan at Getafe from Manchester United before signing for Marseille, has not changed.
In a press conference last month, interim Three Lions boss Lee Carsley said that Greenwood was 'not under consideration' to be selected.
But the 23-year-old was given a potential opportunity to resurrect his international career with Jamaica, as he is of Jamaican descent.

The Sun claimed that Greenwood had chosen to play for the Reggae Boyz pending FIFA approval, and had even held talks with current Jamaica boss Steve McClaren.
However, in a new report by the Daily Mail, FIFA are yet to receive a formal application from Greenwood to switch his international registration.
It is claimed that they are still waiting for a 'change of association request' from the forward.
This means that the forward is currently ineligible to play for the Reggae Boyz.

McClaren's side will play two CONCACAF Nations League matches during the upcoming international break, against Nicaragua and Honduras.
