Zinedine Zidane has reportedly already made his feelings clear on becoming Manchester United boss with a three-word response.
In recent years, Frenchman Zidane has often been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
After the likes of Jose Mourinho, Louis van Gaal, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Erik ten Hag were all dismissed, Zidane's name often appeared on the list of potential replacements.
Most recently, Zidane was linked in October but a move never materialised as he remained unattached since leaving Real Madrid for the second time in 2021.

United instead hired Ruben Amorim due to his impressive record at Sporting Clube de Portugal.
Now, a recent report has claimed that United were not the only team to hold an interest in Zidane.
As reported by Spanish news outlet MARCA, the 52-year-old also attracted interest from clubs such as Juventus, Paris Saint Germain and Bayern Munich.
However, when the above-mentioned clubs knocked on Zidane's doors 'several times in recent years', the reply was suggested to be: "No, thank you."

It has been said that Zidane, who is currently based in Madrid, rarely breaks his routine and would only travel to Paris and Aix-en-Provence, where he has the 'Zidane Five Club' school, which aims to promote the inclusion of young people through sport.
In addition, the report stated that Zidane does not see himself managing another club other than Madrid. Meaning that even if it goes badly wrong for Amorim at Old Trafford, it will take a lot for United to be able to tempt the Frenchman to take over.
On the international stage, it has been suggested that Zidane could be lured by the France national team job, but with Didier Deschamps contracted until the 2026 World Cup, the opportunity is not yet there for the former midfielder.

During his time managing Madrid, Zidane won two La Liga titles and three Champions Leagues among other trophies.
