Manchester United chief Sir Jim Ratcliffe has made his first big call over the future of one Erik ten Hag's most potent midfielders.
United, who saw INEOS boss Ratcliffe complete a minority takeover earlier this year, are awaiting big decisions regarding the club's summer transfer plans.
Rumours have also continued to linger on regarding what lies ahead for current boss Ten Hag, with the Red Devils still chasing down top-four rivals Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur.
But with all the ongoing speculation, a decision has been made over Scott McTominay's time at the Theatre of Dreams.

According to a report from the Daily Star, United are set to offer the Scotland international a brand-new deal that will see him remain as a United player.
The 27-year-old has netted nine goals in all competitions this season and has been a standout performer.
He recently scored the opening goal as Ten Hag's side beat Liverpool 4-3 in an FA Cup classic at Old Trafford, setting up a Wembley semi-final with Coventry City in the process.
Whilst the Red Devils have also struggled with injuries this term, McTominay has been available time and time again when needed, staring alongside teenage sensation Kobbie Mainoo.

With ongoing questions surrounding the United academy graduates future last summer, manager Ten Hag has reiterated on many occasions across the year how vital McTominay has been.
“This season, last season as well (McTominay made an impact), so I think he’s an example for many other players nowadays,” Ten Hag said following the midfielders late winner against Aston Villa in February.
“There are not many players who can come from the bench and bring this energy.

"He’s ready for every minute, always contributing to the team.
"Football is a team sport and we forget that often.
“But Scott is the example, always giving the spirit, in the week when he is training, doing the right things, working on himself, gives max.
