Sir Jim Ratcliffe has met his ‘first’ Manchester United player since agreeing to a deal to buy a stake in the club.
After months of speculation, it was confirmed last month that Ratcliffe has agreed to buy a 25 per cent stake in Old Trafford club.
It has been reported that the British billionaire and his INEOS team will take charge of the footballing side, with the Glazers heading up the commercial side.

This week, Ratcliffe was pictured arriving at Old Trafford as he held a meeting with United staff to outline his plans for the club.
In addition, the 71-year-old visited the club’s training complex to meet the staff and the players.
In pictures released, Ratcliffe and INEOS Director of Sport Dave Brailsford were pictured meeting manager Erik ten Hag and striker Rasmus Hojlund.

Hojlund was seen shaking hands with Brailsford as Ratcliffe looked on.
Many believed the Danish striker was the first player Ratcliffe met as that was the first picture of the INEOS boss with a current player.
Hojlund joined United in the summer transfer window from Serie A side Atalanta in a deal worth a reported £72 million.

It has been a tough start for the 20-year-old as he had to encounter injury problems before making his debut for the Red Devils.
Hojlund found the back of the net on multiple occasions in the Champions League but his goals were not enough as United were dumped out of Europe after finishing bottom of their group.
In the Premier League, Hojlund struggled for goals and only scored his first goal in the competition when United came from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 on Boxing Day.
United are back in action on Monday night as they take on Wigan Athletic in the third round of the FA Cup.
