Footage of Sir Alex Ferguson's immediate reaction to Manchester United's injury-time goal against Porto has emerged.

Harry Maguire headed home a late equaliser to earn his side a point in their Europa League clash against Porto on Thursday.

His goal came after Man United had led two-nil courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund, who was slammed for what he posted on social media after the game.

There were plenty of eyeballs on Man United's match against Porto amid growing uncertainty over Erik ten Hag's position following a shaky start to the new season.

And one of them keen observers was former Man United boss Ferguson, who was seemingly keeping an eye on his former team whilst at Ibrox for Rangers' Europa League tie against Lyon.

A video shows the legendary Scot learning of the Red Devils' late goal.

Looking at his mobile phone, he appears to say: "3-3 to United, 3-3. Harry Maguire."

Ferguson would have been frustrated with the result as Man United blew away a two-goal lead.

Speaking after the fixture in Portugal, Ten Hag told critics to judge his team at the end of the season.

"We will get there," he told TNT Sports. "Don't judge us in this moment, judge us at the end of the season.

"We are in the process, we will improve. We have had two seasons where we have reached finals, we will continue and fight."

The Dutchman added: "You see the spirit and the connection between the staff and the team.

"The players are together, they have a strong spirit and they want to achieve. We have a good mentality but in some defending parts we have to step up.

"We had three clean sheets not a long time ago so we can defend very good, but we have to go back to those habits."
