The Portuguese will officially take charge of the Red Devils after this month's international break, meaning he will lead his new side against Ipswich Town on November 24.
Amorim will be the club's youngest-ever manager in Premier League history, having only retired from his playing days back in 2017.

He also coached Amorim for four years.
Speaking to The Athletic, Morais also claims that Amorim's mum knows not to contact him until the day after a defeat.

Speaking after the 1-1 draw with Chelsea, Van Nistelrooy admitted a decision is still yet to be made on his future.
"Everyone at the club is focusing on the two games. After that we get behind him and work hard to make United better every day," he said.
