The details of Ruben Amorim's Manchester United contract have emerged as the Sporting CP manager looks set to become the new manager at Old Trafford.
After the sacking of Erik ten Hag was confirmed on Monday morning, the news that Amorim looked to be the likely replacement soon followed.
A Monday evening report from David Ornstein confirmed United were looking to buy out Amorim's €10m release clause with the 39-year-old keen to make the switch to Old Trafford.

United currently sit 14th in the Premier League table after enduring their worst-ever start to a season, so it's safe to say Amorim has a job on his hands.
Amorim is set to earn three times what he did at Sporting when he makes the move to Old Trafford, with Chris Wheeler revealing the details of the 39-year-old's new contract on X.
He posted: "Reports in Portugal say Amorim will sign a two-and-a-half-year contract until the end of the 2026-27 season, almost trebling his salary to £6.65m-a-year."

While trebling a manager's salary does seem like exactly the kind of thing United are trying to get away from, Amorim's reported £6.65 million salary is around three million less than Ten Hag was paid annually.
Since the news of Amorim's expected appointment has come out, the Portuguese manager has continued his role at Sporting, as they emerged 3-1 winners CD Nacional.
Following the game Amorim broke his silence on the rumours linking him to Old Trafford.

"Nothing is decided yet... I don't know if it's the farewell game or not," he told reporters.
"I have nothing more to say, we are analysing the game and anything I say will only create more noise. There is nothing concrete..."
He added: "Manchester United is interested. But it's my choice. Until everything is decided, we won't be making any noise. I have nothing useful to say. I will take on whatever I want to do, as I have always done."
