Paul Pogba's career has been full of ups and downs, but the former Manchester United midfielder has highlighted one of his ex-teammates who really failed to live up to their potential.
After spending his formative years in his native France, Pogba joined the United youth system in 2009. Three years later, he joined Juventus on a free transfer, before heading back to Old Trafford in 2016 for just shy of £90 million.
Pogba struggled to make a real impact with the Red Devils, though, and ended up back at Juventus in 2022 on yet another free transfer. In February of this year was found guilty of breaking anti-doping rules and is currently serving a ban until March 2025.
While reflecting on that suspension and looking back at his career so far in an interview with the Daily Mail, Pogba was asked to name the player from his generation who was the biggest underachiever in relation to the potential they showed.

Pogba selected his former Man Utd colleague, Ravel Morrison, and delivered praise of the highest order for the ex-Old Trafford talent.
"Let me tell you, Ravel is the best player of my generation that I have seen. No doubt. I saw stuff Neymar was doing at Santos - Ravel was doing that."
Morrison was a product of the United academy and one of the most exciting young players to emerge from the youth system at the club. But, things never worked out for the playmaker, and after a number of incidents behind the scenes, he was sold to West Ham.

He didn't fare much better there, and after various loan spells at Birmingham, QPR, and Cardiff, Morrison was released in 2015. He joined Lazio that summer, and has since played in Mexico, Sweden, the Netherlands, and America.
Morrison is currently plying his trade for Precision FC in the United Arab Emirates.
Pogba is looking to get his own career back on track next year, after his ban was reduced from four years to just 18 months. As part of the interview, Pogba insists he is not a cheat, and is ready to perform at the top level once more.
