Mason Greenwood's most likely destination after Manchester United has emerged, but it's unlikely to be Getafe.
Following the completion of a six-month internal investigation into Greenwood's conduct, United and the player agreed he should spend the season away from Old Trafford and he joined La Liga side Getafe on a season-long loan.
The investigation began after the forward was arrested on suspicion of rape, controlling behaviour and assault in January 2022 – charges which Greenwood vehemently denied and that were later dropped.

Greenwood has impressed in Spain, scoring seven goals and registering five assists in 25 games.
In a recent interview with The Athletic, United's new co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe left the door open for Greenwood to return to Old Trafford for next season.
"We need to look at facts, judge fairly and take into consideration what the values of the club are," the petrochemicals billionaire said.

"Then we come out of that with a decision. It is not appropriate for me to comment on Mason Greenwood."
However, Greenwood reportedly has no great desire to return to United after settling well in Spain and adapting to life there.
It has also been reported that he feels United could have supported him better over his case.
According to The Athletic, a La Liga side is the likeliest next destination for Greenwood, as he has adapted well to the league.

Getafe are keen to keep the 22-year-old beyond the end of his current loan spell, although sources in the dressing room believe the club will be priced out of keeping him.
The report states that Getafe staff plan to invite United personnel to their match against Girona on March 16 or Sevilla on March 30, or discuss options during the international break.
Greenwood's United contract is valid until 2025, although the club could trigger a one-year extension in order to maintain the player's value and command a greater transfer fee.
