A shock club has been named as 'monitoring' Marcus Rashford amid the growing uncertainty over his Manchester United future and it could provide an awkward reunion if it comes to pass.
Rashford has been at United since he was aged seven and came through the club's famed academy system to the first team, being handed his debut by Louis van Gaal back in 2016.
Since then, the 27-year-old has gone on to score 138 goals in 426 appearances across all competitions, with his best season to date in front of goal coming in the 2022/23 campaign when he netted 30 times.

That campaign led to him signing a new contract at United worth a reported £325,000 a week and runs until mid-2028.
Rashford has claimed two FA Cups, two League Cups and the Europa League during his time at United, and scored the first goal of Ruben Amorim's era in charge of the Old Trafford club.
However, the last time Rashford was seen on the pitch for United was in the 2-1 away victory against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League and a question mark surrounds his future.

But he has not been involved in United's last four matchday squads after being dropped by Amorim, and it appears likely as time goes on that Rashford's time at Old Trafford could be coming to an end, and possibly as soon as January, with the player himself admitting he is ready for a 'new challenge'.
Speculation has since swirled over which club could be Rashford's next, and a new name has entered the frame which could potentially conjure up a slightly awkward reunion.
According to TeamTalk, Turkish side Fenerbahce have 'shown interest' in Rashford and are 'keeping tabs' on how the situation unfolds in January and journalist Rudy Galetti suggesting the Super Lig outfit is among the teams 'monitoring' the player's situation.

Should that move come to fruition, it would reunite Rashford with former United boss Jose Mourinho, who was in charge of the Old Trafford club between 2016 and 2018 where he managed the England international and he is now at the helm of Fenerbahce.
Mourinho has previously spoken about Rashford while working as a pundit for Sky Sports in 2019 following his departure from United.
Though the Portuguese was clear that Rashford is a talented player, he believed he is not a player who is suited to being an out and out striker and was better playing from the left wing, so it could prove to be a slightly awkward reunion if the move does come to fruition.
He said: "For me, the point is not his age, the point is his qualities and for me, he is potentially a very good player.

"He's a very good player in some models of play, he's a very good player in some positions. As a target man, as a number nine, I don't think he has the sort of goals that the top striker has.
"For me he can't get better as a number nine. For me he can get better and better and better... playing from the left side, playing with another one as a target man, but for him to be the target man in matches where United is dominant and playing against defensive teams, against low blocks, I think is difficult for him."
