Man Utd 'source' drops update on Marcus Rashford's future as club makes potential hint in new calendar

Man Utd 'source' drops update on Marcus Rashford's future as club makes potential hint in new calendar

Marcus Rashford is facing an uncertain future at Old Trafford.

A source close to Manchester United has reportedly issued a major update on Marcus Rashford's future amid rumours of a potential transfer.

Rashford, 27, has been in the headlines since he was dropped by Ruben Amorim for the Manchester derby earlier in the month.

The Red Devils boss took the brave decision to omit Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho from his matchday squad against Manchester City but was rewarded with a dramatic 2-1 victory.

A few days after being left out, Rashford dropped a major bombshell on his future by revealing he was 'ready for a new challenge and the next steps'.

Since then, Rashford has been linked with a host of different clubs including teams in the Saudi Pro League, MLS and around Europe.

However, despite the exit rumours, Rashford is reportedly set to be the face of January in United's 2025 calendar.

As reported by The Sun, United have picked the Englishman as the player for the month of January.

A source told the publication: "Rashford’s future at the club remains uncertain.

"He may not be here after the transfer window opens in just over a week’s time. At least he’s the face of January — it’s likely he won’t be around much longer."

Rashford has since been left out of United's squad for matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Bournemouth.

What has Ruben Amorim said about Marcus Rashford?

Speaking about the forward recently, Amorim said: "We are better with Marcus Rashford, that is simple, and we will try different things to push Marcus to the best levels he showed in the past.

"This kind of club needs big talent and he’s a big talent, so he just needs to perform at the highest level and that is my focus. I just want to help Marcus."

He added: "Nothing has changed. We believe in Marcus. Marcus is a player of Manchester United, so there’s no change."

United will be back in Premier League action on Boxing Day when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
