Fans think two Manchester United players ‘dislike’ each other after spotting an incident during United’s 3-1 win against Southampton on Thursday evening.

United fell behind on 43 minutes after Manuel Ugarte scored an own goal. And it looked like it was turning into a nightmare evening against bottom-place Southampton, who boast just one victory from 21 matches this season.

However, Amad, 22, spared his team’s blushes with a 12-minute hat-trick to send Ruben Amorim’s side up to 12th in the Premier League.

But it was certainly not vintage Man United aside from the late comeback which fans became accustomed to during Sir Alex Ferguson’s time at the club.

And despite the positive feeling around Old Trafford following the comeback victory, supporters highlighted a moment during the game, which made them think two of United’s players were not each other's biggest fans. During the match, fans spotted Rasmus Hojlund kicking the post in frustration.

On 20 minutes, Hojlund, 21, appeared to be in space while Alejandro Garnacho was running towards goal with the ball. He could have picked the Danish forward out, but instead chose to take a shot, which skewed wide to the dismay of Hojlund.

After booting the woodwork, the Denmark international vented towards Garnacho, 20.

Fans could not help but have their say about the incident on social media.

One said: "It's important to remember that kicking inanimate objects in frustration can be harmful and is not recommended. If Hojlund is feeling frustrated, there are other ways to manage those emotions that are safer and more productive."

Another added: "Haha Garnacho and Hojlund hate each other because they think the other is s**t."

A third explained: "Hojlund isn’t happy with Garnacho after that miss."

While a fourth commented: "Hojlund has no right to react the way he did after Garnacho missed. He did absolutely nothing the whole game while Garnacho was a threat at least. EMBARRASSING!"

This is not the first time fans have been annoyed by Hojlund's conduct towards his teammates. They took a similar stance after United's 2-0 defeat away against Wolves on Boxing Day. On that occasion, the Dane could be seen gesturing toward Amad, after the Ivorian did not play him through on goal.

Hojlund, who was replaced by Joshua Zirkzee on 53 minutes against Southampton, will be hoping to retain his starting place when United travel to Brighton on Sunday 19 January.
