Marcus Rashford has hit back at journalists over ‘ridiculous’ stories that have been written about him in recent weeks.
Rashford, 27, has fallen out of favour under Ruben Amorim, having been left out of four consecutive matchday squads for United's games against Manchester City, Spurs, Bournemouth and Wolves before being named on the bench for the Red Devils’ 2-0 home defeat against Newcastle on Monday evening.
As a result of his recent absence, he has been heavily linked with a move away from his boyhood club in the January transfer window, with the likes of PSG and several Saudi Arabian clubs thought to be keen on the forward.

On December 31, The Sun published an article claiming that Rashford had “stepped up efforts” to leave United.
The outlet reported that Rashford “is in talks with leading sports agency Stellar” in order to speed up a potential move.
The piece claimed the 27-year-old is currently represented by his brother but is “keen” to get more people involved.

Stellar are best known for their efforts which saw Gareth Bale move to Real Madrid from Spurs in 2013.
However, on Wednesday morning (January 1), the player hit back at the article in a post to his Instagram story.
The story featured a screenshot of The Sun's article, accompanied by a comment from Rashford.
“Been a lot of false stories written over the past few weeks but guys this getting ridiculous – never met with any agency and don’t have any plans to,” wrote Rashford.

Of course, Rashford has directly spoken to the media himself.
On December 17, the England international discussed his future when being interviewed by journalist Henry Winter.
"For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps," explained Rashford when asked about his future plans.
Whether Rashford stays or goes is still unclear, but now the transfer window is open, clubs will be able to negotiate a potential transfer to secure the player's services if he does want to leave the club.

It still remains to be seen if he will be selected in Amorim's 20-man matchday squad for when the Red Devils travel to Merseyside where they will face league leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday.
