A shock club has entered the race to sign Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford – but a deal could make sense.
Rashford, 27, has fallen out of favour at United since Ruben Amorim took charge of the team in November 2024.
First, he and Alejandro Garnacho were left out of United’s 20-man matchday squad ahead of the 2-1 win against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on December 15.
Although Amorim, 39, put this down to “selection”, the England international was then omitted from three further squads – against Spurs, Bournemouth and Wolves – before being named as a substitute for the 2-0 defeat against Newcastle on Monday. Although he did not come on.

But Rashford’s future may still lie away from Old Trafford, with the player previously giving a bombshell interview to journalist Henry Winter in December.
"For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” Rashford said.
Since his shock admission, the 27-year-old has been linked with PSG and several Saudi Arabian clubs, including Al-Ittihad and even Premier League rivals Arsenal, but now another huge European side has joined the race to sign the player.

According to journalist Matteo Moretto [via Centre Devils], United have ‘held talks’ with AC Milan in recent days as the Red Devils look to move the player on.
Of course, neither club have confirmed the supposed interest from the Italian giants, but a deal would make sense.
If Rashford were to move, he would link up with his fellow Englishmen Fikayo Tomori, Tammy Abraham and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
United are set to take on league leaders Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday and will once again be unable to call on the services of Rashford, who is “ill”.

“At the moment, he is ill," said Amorim in his press conference on Friday. "He is not training, and this week he is out."
When asked about the current situation surrounding the player’s future, Amorim gave a fairly blunt answer.
"It's the same situation,” he explained.
“We will see in the future, but this is like a normal player, and then I make a selection."
