Three huge European clubs are ‘interested’ in recruiting Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford – but fans have been left stunned by the Red Devils’ asking price.
Rashford, 27, has been linked with a move away from the club after falling out of favour with head coach Ruben Amorim.
Amorim, 39, left Rashford out of four consecutive matchday squads for matches against Manchester City, Spurs, Bournemouth and Wolves before he was named on the bench for United’s 2-0 defeat against Newcastle on December 30.

However, he was omitted from the squad for United’s 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday with Amorim putting this down to the player being “ill”.
It has since emerged that AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are interested in signing/loaning the player in the January transfer window.
Now a well-respected journalist has revealed the asking price required that could see him leave.

GiveMeSport’s Ben Jacobs issued an update via X.
He wrote: "Manchester United are aware Marcus Rashford’s brother and agent, Dwaine Maynard, is holding talks with Milan. Dortmund and Juventus also interested and Rashford’s representatives are expected to engage with clubs.
"Rashford has already turned down Saudi. Rashford open to playing abroad, but staying at MUFC has not been entirely discounted.
"Manchester United are prepared to sanction a straight loan or loan with option, while a permanent solution would require £40m+. Rashford is understood to be still in Thomas Tuchel’s plans."

And fans on social media were quick to give their thoughts on Rashford's supposed price.
One said: "I can't see any clubs in Europe paying £40 million in January. The loan or obligation to buy makes more sense. We'd be more likely to secure £40 million+ in the summer if the loan move goes well."
Another added: "This will be a regret just like other players we have let go who have thrived in other clubs. Our club and fans are so toxic it is unbelievable."

A third commented: "Rashford loan or £40m+ permanent transfer possible."
While a fourth explained: "Needs to be a loan with a obligation to buy if we can't sell him this window. His story needs to be over at utd once & for all. Don't wanna see him back next summer."
