The United and Argentina winger has several sporting icons painted on his home gym's wall.

Alejandro Garnacho has three professional footballers painted on the wall of his home.

Garnacho, 20, has struggled to find form this season and was even left out of United’s squad – alongside Marcus Rashford - for their 2-1 win against Manchester City in December.

However, he has since been reintroduced to the side but has had to settle for a spot on the bench and seemingly does not fit into Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-2-1 formation as the Portuguese has often opted for Diogo Dalot and Amad or Noussair Mazraoui in the wingback roles.

And despite being linked with both Chelsea and Serie A side Napoli he did not move on from United in the January transfer window.

So, for now he will have to continue to work hard to regain his place or even impress clubs for a potential move in the summer. And according to an Instagram post, he has been putting the hard yards in at the gym.

On Monday evening, a photograph of the winger emerged on Nasphysio’s Instagram page with the player appearing to be undertaking a strength and conditioning session but fans spotted the artwork on the wall of the Argentine’s home gym.

Several sports people including former NBA star Michael Jordan and iconic heavyweight boxer Muhammed Ali could be seen on the wall, but it was the three football players that featured that really got fans talking.

Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Garnacho himself were painted on the wall with the 20-year-old having played with both players.

He shared a pitch with Ronaldo on six occasions before the Portuguese left United after falling out with then-manager Erik ten Hag during the first half of the 2022/23 season.

While he has played for Argentina alongside Messi twice.

Fans had their say on social media.

One said: "I hope people can see that he also admired Messi."

Another added: "Imagine having an ego so big that you have a giant picture of yourself. No wonder these players can't handle criticism, all they can do is love themselves."

A third commented: "Shows his deep respect for the legends of the game. Who knows, maybe one day he'll be up there with them."
