Top 20 most-valuable youngsters in world football revealed, including Manchester United trio

A trio of players Ruben Amorim will have at his disposal make the list.

Barcelona's Lamine Yamal has topped a respected list of the most valuable young players in the world, but Manchester United have three entrees which shows the future could be bright at Old Trafford.

Ruben Amorim will officially take over at United on Monday following his final fixture in charge of Sporting, with Ruud van Nistelrooy managing the Old Trafford club in the last game of his interim spell in the dugout tomorrow against Leicester City following the sacking of Erik ten Hag.

Amorim takes over a United team firmly in the bottom half of the Premier League, but one which picked up its first win in European competition in a year in midweek thanks to the 2-0 victory over PAOK.

And a trio of United youngsters have made a respected list of under-21 players by the CIES Football Observatory, which is topped by Barcelona and Spain star Lamine Yamal who is valued at £150m.

The teenager made his Barcelona debut aged just 15 in 2023 and has gone on to score 13 goals in 67 games for the Camp Nou side since then, winning the La Liga title and also the European Championship with Spain over the summer following a 2-1 victory in the final over England.

But a trio of United stars also make the list, including one who is in second place behind Barca's Yamal.

Alejandro Garnacho is second on the list with a value of £95m, with Paris Saint-Germain's Warren Zaire-Emery third at a potential cost of £90m.

Manchester City summer signing Savio is fourth with a value of £84m, with team-mate Rico Lewis ranked seventh at a value of £72m.

United and England midfielder Kobbie Mainoo makes the top 10 with a value of £62m, while Aston Villa super sub Jhon Duran is rated at £58m.

United summer signing Leny Yoro, who is yet to make his competitive debut for the club following an injury, is valued at £45m.

Other Premier League representatives includes Brighton & Hove Albion duo Evan Ferguson and Carlos Baleba with values of £51m and £43m respectively, as well as Leicester City teenager Facundo Buonanotte, who is rated at £48m.
