There is a Manchester United WhatsApp group where former players discuss the club's transfer business, it has been revealed.
United's dealings in the markets in recent times have been extremely questionable and it's no surprise recruitment is being given a mass overhaul in the summer under the new INEOS regime.
Under Erik ten Hag, United have spent more than £400 million on a total of 16 new players and yet there hasn't been much to show for it.
Casemiro, Rasmus Hojlund, Andre Onana and Mason Mount are just some of the notable big-money additions.

And it's emerged that a number of former United players regularly weigh in with thoughts on new signings, with ex winger Ashley Young dishing the dirt.
"Nowadays, with players that are retired, we've got a WhatsApp group," Everton star Young said in an interview with talkSPORT.
"We've got ex-United players in there. At times, we do talk about it [transfers]. But when you're in the dressing room, you're not thinking, 'why have we signed this player?'.
"You're trying to integrate them into the squad. I had fantastic times there and you want the best out of every single player who walks through that door."

Former captain Young left United for Inter Milan in 2020 before returning to England with Aston Villa and current side Everton.
But he still remains in touch with a plethora of his former United colleagues through the WhatsApp chat, which is "going off" on a daily basis.
He added: "It's called Band of Brothers. There's quite a lot.

"Rio [Ferdinand], Fletch [Darren Fletcher], John O'Shea, Wazza [Wayne Rooney], Wes Brown, Danny Welbeck, Tom Cleverley, Ando [Anderson], Nani, Berba [Dimitar Berbatov], Patrice [Evra], the twins, Rafael and Fabio, Quinton Fortune, Anders Lindegaard.
"Everyone. Honestly, every day that's group's going off. It's like we're still at training, that banter's still going. Someone's getting it every day, basically."
United finished eighth in the Premier League but could still end the campaign with silverware as they take on rivals City in the FA Cup final for the second consecutive year.
