Manchester United have already identified their top transfer target for next summer, it has been claimed.
The Red Devils have struggled for goals this season, netting just 16 times in 13 Premier League games so far, the joint-eighth least in the division.
However, Erik ten Hag's first summer addition is expected to come in defence, having been stretched at the back this term.

A long-term injury to Lisandro Martinez has seen Harry Maguire return to the fold after his career looked to be over at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, 35-year-old Jonny Evans, who signed for United on a one-year-deal in September, has also been preferred to Raphael Varane.
As a result, the club are reportedly keen on signing Benfica centre-back Antonio Silva and have made him their top target, according to Sky Sports Germany.

The 20-year-old has a €100m (£86.7m) release clause attached to his current deal, with United said to be keen on discussing contract details for the young Portuguese defender.
The report adds that his current employers expect him to leave Benfica next summer despite the fact he still has three years remaining on his contract.
Silva only turned 20 last month but Old Trafford chiefs are clearly convinced he can play a key part in the club's future, having made 61 appearances for Benfica and earned seven caps for his country.
United have also been linked with fellow Portuguese centre-back Goncalo Inacio, who has been earmarked a potential replacement for Maguire, claim The Mirror.

Despite recently penning fresh terms at Sporting Lisbon, the 22-year-old is thought to have a far more affordable £42.9 million release clause.
However, United are likely to face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool, who have also expressed an interest in the player.
