Manchester United are reportedly ready to terminate Eric Bailly's contract as Erik ten Hag seeks to free up his wage bill.
Bailly has been heavily rumoured with an Old Trafford exit after he was left out of the Red Devils' squad for their pre-season tour, with a number of players currently ahead of him in the pecking order.
The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at Marseille, but failed to make a lasting impression, with the Ligue 1 side deciding against offering him a permanent deal.

Bailly added fuel to speculation in a recent social media post, with the former Villarreal defender stating he was "done" on Instagram.
He has been the subject of interest from Premier League side Fulham, while Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr have been continually linked to the player. Bailly also has potential suitors Turkey, although he has reportedly rejected a move to Beşiktaş - a decision which will no doubt frustrate Ten Hag.
Meanwhile, his move to the Saudi Pro League was cast into doubt following the news that Manchester City had accepted an 'undisclosed offer' from Al Nassr for defender Aymeric Laporte. Should the deal go through, it would likely end Al Nassr's pursuit of Bailly, it has been claimed.

Meanwhile, it would seem Ten Hag has grown impatient with the situation and is considering terminating the Ivorian's contract, according to French outlet RMC Sport.
The Manchester Evening News claim that Bailly has been listed as a 'must-sell' player by the club this summer. And in an attempt to accelerate his exit, Ten Hag may put a premature end to his seven-year career at United, with the club unlikely to recoup the £30m they paid for him back in 2016.
It is no surprise that the Red Devils are keen to get him off their books, with Ten Hag needing to free up both his budget and wage bill in order to make further moves in the transfer market.
