Sporting Lisbon are reportedly seeking two extra payments from Manchester United to allow Ruben Amorim to leave - while he may also have to serve a 30-day notice period.
Amorim is close to becoming United's new manager, replacing Erik ten Hag, after the club triggered his £8.3 million release clause.
The Portuguese boss has achieved major success at Sporting, and the 39-year-old has won 171 of 238 games in charge of the club.

He would become the fourth Premier League manager under the age of 40 to take charge of a match this season once the appointment is finalised.
The finalities of the deal, though, are slightly more complicated than United and INEOS may have hoped.
The existence of a notice period means Amorim may have to continue working at Sporting until the end of November, with United playing five fixtures during that time.

According to Portuguese publication A Bola, the Liga Portugal side want to negotiate 'an even larger sum' to waive that notice period.
In addition, it is claimed that Sporting want an extra £4.1 million (€5 million) to release Amorim's coaching staff from their contracts in order to allow them to join United.
The Portuguese boss refused to comment on speculation over his expected appointment at Old Trafford in a press conference on Tuesday evening.
He said: "There was the club's statement [about United's intention to pay Amorim's release clause], and that's the only thing they have at the moment.

"There is interest from Manchester United, there is the payment of a clause and then, when I have something more concrete, I will tell you, because it is always my choice.
"When everything hasn't been decided, one way or the other, there's no point in talking much more, because otherwise we'll create noise.
"I'm not going to say anything properly, because I don't have anything useful to say. Just saying that I will take on whatever I want to do, as I have always done throughout my time as a player and even as a coach."
