Cristiano Ronaldo's Al Nassr to offer Man Utd star stunning £50m-a-year deal to convince him to leave

It would be a big move.

Al Nassr are set to offer one Manchester United player some £50million-a-year to move to the Saudi Pro League.

United have endured a topsy-turvy season. Despite a comprehensive 3-0 draw over West Ham at the weekend, Erik ten Hag’s men are languishing some eight points adrift of the top four.

With Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Ineos set to take over football operations at Old Trafford ahead of the summer, the club has been tipped to undergo much change in the coming months.

One player set to depart is Raphael Varane, with the player out of contract at the end of the season and United having resisted the temptation to trigger a 12-month extension clause in his deal.

According to the Metro, while Varane is open to continuing at United, the club want him to agree to a new contract on terms lower than his £350,000-a-week wages.

In turn, Varane looks set to leave United at the end of the season on a free transfer.

And as per the Daily Star, the removal of a transfer fee could see Varane earn even more than his United wage should he accept a move to Saudi Arabia.

Indeed, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr could allegedly offer the 2018 World Cup winner wages of £50million-a-year.

Ronaldo and Varane were teammates for nearly a decade at Real Madrid, while they spent 18 months at Old Trafford together.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s pioneering move to Saudi Arabia in January 2023 helped attract several other stars to the burgeoning league the following summer, including Sadio Mane and Aymeric Laporte, also of Al Nassr.

Meanwhile, United hope to sign at least one centre-back in the summer, with Jean-Clair Todibo and Jarrod Brainthwaite both said to be on their wishlist.
