Manchester United's starting XI against Manchester City was leaked hours before kick-off.

Manchester United players 'think they know' who has been leaking team news ahead of matches.

Man United's entire starting XI was leaked hours before their derby against Manchester City last month.

Despite the leak, the Red Devils claimed a famous win over their cross-town rivals, winning the Etihad fixture 2-1.

But two Man United stars were questioned as the club launched an investigation following the team news leak.

Speaking after his side's victory over the Blues, Ruben Amorim directly addressed the Man United dressing room leaker as he made a worrying admission.

"I know that story. I don’t know, I think it’s impossible to fix nowadays because you have a lot of people in the club, the players talk with agents." he said via the club's official website. "I don’t know, you can talk with friends, so it’s hard to know. It’s not a good thing but let’s move on and go to the next one and see if they find the next starting XI."

A fresh report from The Daily Mail states Man United players 'know who is to blame' for leaking team news before games.

In his column, Sami Mokbel wrote: "The recent team leaks at Manchester United certainly caught the imagination of the players, who had their own ideas about who the mole was.

"While head coach Ruben Amorim tried to play down the situation that had been brewing behind the scenes at Old Trafford, his players had turned into super-sleuths in an effort to identify the culprit.

"Indeed, Mail Sport has been contacted by a number of representatives of players, following conversations with their clients, claiming to know who is to blame."

Man United have not won a game since their victory over Man City.

A few days after their derby win, Amorim's team were knocked out of the Carabao Cup before losing three league games on the bounce.

They suffered a bruising 3-0 home defeat to Bournemouth and succumbed to Wolves on Boxing Day.

Man United were condemned to their ninth league defeat of the season to Newcastle United on Monday.
