The Manchester United squad are angry with Marcus Rashford for his latest transgression, it has been claimed.
On Monday evening, United said the club had dealt with an “internal disciplinary” matter with Rashford, after the forward was absent from the team’s 4-2 win at Newport County.
The original guidance given for Rashford’s absence from United’s 4-2 win over Newport County was an illness, after the England striker was pictured out in Belfast earlier in the week.

But United subsequently revealed in a statement: "Marcus has taken responsibility for his actions. This has been dealt with as an internal disciplinary matter, which is now closed."
Rashford will be available for selection for United trip to Wolves on Thursday.
According to the Mail Online, the 26-year-old’s United team-mates are angry with the star over his latest lapse in discipline.
The publication claimed that senior players are unhappy with Rashford after it emerged that he went to a club in Belfast the night before missing a training session at Carrington on Friday morning.
United players were allegedly upset to discover the real reason for his absence in the build-up to United’s trip to Newport in the FA Cup, which is the club’s only realistic chance of silverware this season.

“The players were told he was too ill to train, and then it came out that he'd been in the nightclub. They couldn't believe that he would do that given the situation the club is in,” an unnamed source told the publication
While it is unclear whether Rashford has been punished by Ten Hag, the Dutchman has the power to fine player two weeks' wages, which in the England international’s case would total around £630,000.
With confirmation Rashford was punished for a disciplinary issue, it was the second time in just over a year Ten Hag dropped him for such a matter.

The player was left out of United’s starting XI against Wolves on December 21 2022, having arrived late to a team meeting.
Rashford also had to apologise to Ten Hag earlier this season after having a birthday party just hours after United had fallen to a 3-0 home defeat to local rivals Manchester City.
"It is unacceptable," Ten Hag said at the time. "I told him, he apologised and that is it."
