Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has been criticised for his decision-making when it comes to substitutions following their 1-1 draw against FC Twente in the Europa League.
It was a frustrating night at the office for Ten Hag and his side, who took the lead in the 35th minute when Christian Eriksen beat Lars Unnerstall with a powerful effort.
Marcus Rashford was once again at his best throughout the first-half and it looked like United would extend their lead as the likes of Joshua Zirkzee impressed in attacking areas.

But after a slow start to the second period, FC Twente equalised in the 68th minute when former Rangers forward Sam Lammers capitalised on a poor touch from Eriksen.
Just moments earlier, Amad Diallo was brought off for Alejandro Garnacho and then with ten minutes remaining, many questioned Ten Hag's decision to bring off three of their best performers on the night.
Mason Mount came on for Zirkzee, who looked dangerous throughout, whilst Marcus Rashford and Christian Eriksen were also brought off for Rasmus Hojlund and Kobbie Mainoo respectively.
Since his arrival in 2022, Erik ten Hag has been criticised for so-called 'poorly-timed' substitutions on numerous occasions – and Wednesday night was no different.

Here's how fans on social media reacted to his latest subs.
One wrote: "Rashford, Eriksen, Zirkzee- three of the best players on pitch getting subbed OFF? I get Eriksen made mistake and out of possession left side was losing control but MAN.. I love Bruno but he is having a stinker. Bruno and Eriksen OFF- Mount, Hojlund on for me."
A second said: "Ten Hag takes too long to make subs and it’s costing us games," whilst another commented: "Ten Hag and his poorly-timed subs. Should have subbed Eriksen at the 60th minute. Today we paid dearly."

A fourth wrote: "Second half was terrible, defending for their equalizer was awful, porr subs and game management from Ten Hag. Fernandes is having a shocker."
A fifth commented: "Don't think I have ever seen a manager get subs wrong as much as Ten Hag," and a sixth added: "Ten Gag always makes the subs that should've been at around 60 mins at the 78-80 minute mark and we almost always concede in between. He just never ever learns, idiotic in game management."
Manchester United currently sit tenth in the Europa League group stage table following their opener. They face tournament favourites FC Porto on October 3.
