Manchester United are planning to raid Arsenal for their physio Jordan Reece, it has been claimed.

The Mirror has alleged that United have made an offer to poach Reece from Arsenal, with final negotiations taking place over his departure date.

United are said to be in the middle of a medical review after their season was affected by a spate of injuries to key players.

The review is being undertaken by Dr Gary O’Driscoll who used to work at Arsenal and knows Reece from their time in north London.

Reece has gained a reputation for working well with players and was credited for helping the likes of Gabriel Jesus through long-term issues. Indeed, the Gunners are said to be reluctant to lose Reece, having also fought to keep O’Driscoll before his Old Trafford departure last term.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his lieutenant Sir Dave Brailsford have already made several changes to their medical team, with the club’s shocking injury record something they are determined to address.

Despite winning the FA Cup last Saturday, the club’s second trophy in consecutive seasons, Erik ten Hag has blamed his side’s dismal Premier League and Champions League performance this term on their injury record.

Back in April the Dutchman bemoaned: "I don't have any concern about what is said on the outside.

"What concerns me is that in 18 months, I have never had my favourite team on the pitch once, because players were injured - that concerns me.

“There was only one time, against City at home last season. That is the only time I had a full squad to pick my full team.

"In all the other games, there was an injury aspect that we have had to deal with. That's normal in football, but not as many as we have had. I know that when we've had so many injuries in crucial key positions, you can't deliver the results you want to bring. That's OK, but that's my truth - others can have different truths but I can't put any energy into that."
