Man United fans want the same player brought off after dismal Aston Villa display

Man United fans want the same player brought off after dismal Aston Villa display

Manchester United fans are all in agreement over one player's display against Aston Villa.

Manchester United fans all agreed on the need to substitute the same player after a shambolic display against Aston Villa.

United travelled to Villa Park on a four-game winless run following a dismal defeat to Spurs and a 3-3 draw with Porto in the Europa League after being 2-0 up.

In both games, Bruno Fernandes was sent off - though his dismissal against Spurs was later overturned.

The United skipper therefore started against Unai Emery's side but looked horribly out of form once again.

He gave away the ball carelessly on so many occasions and struggled when it came to creating chances.

And though he's been such a key player for United, fans now think he ought to be taken out of the side.

One admitted: "This is by far the most out of form Bruno Fernandes we've seen in a United shirt. Would seriously consider Amad for 2nd half."

A second said: "Villa’s only good player so far has been Bruno Fernandes.

A third added: "Ten Hag is definitely scared of Bruno Fernandes. This is nonsense!"

Another user commented: "Please get Bruno Miguel Borges Fernandes OFF the football pitch."

A fifth concurred, writing: "Bruno Fernandes just bench yourself bro, just for like a month."

A sixth person vented: "Bruno Fernandes needs to be far away from this team. Genuinely playing against us at this moment in time."

Before his back-to-back dismissals, Fernandes had never seen red in more than 200 appearances for United since he joined from Sporting CP.

And ahead of the trip to Villa, Erik ten Hag was forced to address talk that Fernandes lacks discipline.

He told a press conference: “The [red] card [against Spurs] is overturned for Bruno. So they acknowledge there was a mistake on Sunday and I would say he was very unlucky against Porto.

"He gave everything to make a goal. He was in the right spot, and the player came from the blind side and he didn’t see him. So I wouldn’t address it as undisciplined.”
