Leny Yoro's Manchester United career couldn't have gotten off to a worse start, but a tactic used by Sir Alex Ferguson could work to his advantage.
Man United pulled off something of a transfer coup last month when they signed French defender Yoro from Lille.
The 18-year-old had previously set his sights on joining Real Madrid, but United were able to convince him to make the move to Old Trafford instead.

After United had an offer of £52 million accepted by Lille, club legends including Rio Ferdinand were deployed to sweet-talk him into signing a five-year contract with the option of a further year.
Yoro impressed on his debut, a 2-0 friendly win against Rangers. However, the centre-back had to be withdrawn during the first half of United's 2-1 defeat to Arsenal in Los Angeles last weekend.
Striker Rasmus Hojlund was also taken off through injury and will be out of action for six weeks.

Yoro now looks set to be out of action for around three months with a metatarsal injury, striking a significant blow to Erik ten Hag's plans for the upcoming season.
That said, United could use a tactic once used by Sir Alex Ferguson to turn a difficult situation into a positive one.
According to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, United are trying to use Yoro's injury lay-off as a positive as it will allow the youngster to adjust to life at the club and familiarise himself with his new surroundings.

United staff have revealed that legendary manager Ferguson used to do similar with players who got injured shortly after joining the club.
Moving abroad at such a young age is never easy, especially when Yoro will miss out on getting to know his new teammates in full training sessions and matches.
But if United can make the most of the situation and get Yoro settled, he could be in a great position to hit the ground running when he returns to full fitness.
