And now, a new report has revealed exactly what Ten Hag next move is immediately after losing his job at United.
According to The Daily Mail, Ten Hag plans to head back to his property in Austria to reflect on his final week at United and what has been a difficult two and a half years.

In this time, he brought two trophies back to United, the 2023 Carabao Cup and the the FA Cup last season.
Despite this, Ten Hag reportedly was convinced that his time at the club would end in the summer, as he told his closest friends that he expected to be sacked shortly after the FA Cup final victory over Manchester City.
INEOS had considered other managers during the summer after conducting interviews with names like new England manager Thomas Tuchel, but ultimately decided to stick with their man for the start of the 2024/25 season.

But, after a dismal run so far this season, where United have won just three of nine games in the Premier League, Sir Jam Ratcliffe and other members of the United board decided it was time to move on.
However, Ten Hag is reportedly privately taking his dismissal quite well given the fact that it has significantly strengthening of his financial position after a new deal signed over the summer secured him a reported payout of £17.5 million after he was sacked.
Sporting CP manager Ruben Amorim remains the favourite to take over as manager of United, with former player Ruud van Nistelrooy fulfilling the role of interim manager until a permanent boss can be signed.
