Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that his neighbours once handed him a brutal nickname after seeing him crying after losing a football match.
With 921 goals, five Champions League trophies and five Ballon d'Or awards, Ronaldo is undoubtedly one of the greatest football players of all time.
In order to achieve such success, Ronaldo has had to dedicate his entire life to the sport, and with that he has become extremely emotionally invested in the results of every match he plays in, leading to him sometimes crying after a big loss.

And in a tell-all interview, the 39-year-old has revealed the harsh nickname that his neighbours gave him after seeing him crying for the first time.
During the summer's Euro 2024 tournament, Ronaldo was spotted crying after seeing his penalty kick saved by Jan Oblak in extra time of the knockout match between Portugal and Slovenia, leading to backlash online.
But it's not the only time that the Portugal captain has cried during a match, as he revealed in a conversation with Spanish journalist Edu Aguirre that he has always struggled to hold back his emotions when playing football.

"I was always very irritated, since I was young. I hated losing and I cried. Even my neighbours called me... 'Llora'. One of them would say to me 'how are you Llora?'"
While it may seem innocent at first, Ronaldo's nickname actually means 'crier' when translated from Spanish, showing that the Man Utd legend's neighbours clearly didn't hold back.
Explaining his emotions, Ronaldo added: "When I lost I cried with rage. It was my way of being. But little by little I assimilated and improved.

"Yes, there was that bad feeling of losing and being on the pitch and doing what I do. I'm not perfect.
"I exaggerate from time to time, but that's my way of being and I'm not going to change. At the end of the day my motivation remains the same. I still have those traces of bad temper from the past.
"I hope to continue like this, but in a more balanced way. My children reproach me for it... 'Dad is like that and that's it,' I tell them."
